    What does Catalyst Strength and Physique Coaching Offer?

    A comprehensive, holistic, and scientifically backed approach to training and nutrition. Catalyst Strength and Physique Coaching is (primarily) an online personal training service for individuals interested in powerlifting and/or bodybuilding. Options are also available for regular gym-goers, those new to training and nutrition, and athletes involved in other sports. I am also available for in-person coaching at Stomp Fitness, Hobart.

    The most recommended and common service delivered for any goal is full training, nutrition, and cardio coaching. To combine all of these facets of fitness into one coaching service is recommended due to how nutrition and cardio can affect training prescription, and vice versa.

    Training and nutrition programmes are also offered separately if preferred, at a slightly discounted price. In-person or online consultations and technique fixes are also available. See below for more details about these options. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you’d like to know any more information about any service and associated pricing.

    Training Coaching

    An individualised weight training programme fitted to your goals. Includes:
    – A within 24-hour business day response to any training questions.
    – Weekly spreadsheet training updates.
    – Form adjustment advice (via video).
    – Optional monthly skype meetings.

    Technique Fixes

    This service is included in the training coaching option, but if you would simply like me to offer advice on how to improve your form in any exercise or multiple exercises, this can be done. Includes:
    -Either online (video) or in-person technique analysis.
    -Discussion, advice, and demonstration on how to improve your form, including useful cues and mobility exercises if necessary.

    Nutrition & Cardio Plans

    Nutrition guidelines and/or macronutrient and calorie targets dependent on your goals. Also involves optional cardiovascular exercise prescription.
    Includes:
    – A within 24-hour hour business day response to any nutrition or cardio questions.
    – Weekly spreadsheet nutrition & cardio updates.
    – Optional monthly skype meetings.

    Consultation

    Either online or in-person. This option is for those who would like me to, for example, evaluate the training/nutrition programme they have created for themselves or others. Either that, or pick my brains on any aspect of training/nutrition that you would like to discuss. A summary of the discussion will be send to you following consultation.

    Catalyst Strength & Physique Coaching

    Some of my main pressing variations recently have been dips and 3ct pause bench.

    Even though I'm in a phase of training specifically trying to maximise competition bench 1RM and not maximise hypertrophy, I like to keep accessories in until the final week or so, at relatively low RPEs/difficulty and moderate volume.

    In the past I found that taking accessory volume out quickly causes me to detrain quickly and peak in performance too early (and at a lower point). This is definitely a variable that differs between individuals.
